Abstract. The article discusses a collection of articles of professor St. Petersburg State University Nina Zhirmunsky, articles on French and German literature. The collection was published posthumously. The article traces the author’s scientific path, the evolution of his interests related to French and German literature, as well as literary relationships. In addition, the article tells the history and principles of the posthumous publication of the collection.
